Three Strike Cases
San Diego Criminal Defense Attorney
In California, particular “serious” or “violent” felony offenses are classified as strikes. This means that a defendant will face increased penalties upon receiving a second or third conviction for this type of offense. California’s Three Strikes and You’re Out law was established in order to discourage repeat offenders by doubling the penalties for a second serious or violent felony offense and implementing up to life imprisonment for a third felony conviction (even when not violent or serious.) All states have some form of a Three Strikes Law, but California’s implementation is by far one of the harshest of all.
Are you facing a first strike? Are you a two-strike offender who is facing a third strike? You will need the aggressive legal representation of a competent San Diego criminal defense lawyer. My name is Chris Sohovich, and I am a criminal defense attorney and a former prosecutor. I understand the California criminal court process from both sides and can use my diverse experience to accurately represent your interests and help you avoid that first, second or third strike.
California Three Strikes Law
While other states only apply the Three Strikes Law to violent felony offenses, California includes “serious” felonies as well.
